Bio
The Nitty-Gritty
I'm a full-time visual designer and developer (and part-time winemaking student) based in DFW. I currently work in the SaaS industry and have worked in a multitude of industries over 20 years.
I began exploring web development in 1996, and eventually moved to web design after some practice as a graphic designer. I've had and continue to have an equal interest in both design and front-end development (especially HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and practice both as often as a project or situation will allow.
My style of design is heavily influenced by the precision of technical drafting. I use grid-based design to bring simplicity to otherwise chaotic and cluttered systems of information.
I'm a logical thinker and highly analytical. I prefer to make decisions based on logic and facts. I'm intrinsically motivated and secretly competitive. I dislike disorganization and impropriety. (Oh, don't you worry, I am fun at parties.)
Outside of design, I pursue the study of wine and have an active interest in wine education. I've combined all of these pursuits into a project called Wine Cards, which you can read about here.
